Module Available: What is a Type of Bill

The purpose of this module is to educate providers on Medicare bill types for Part A and Home Health and Hospice (HHH). Bill types help payers (insurance companies, Medicare, etc.) understand the nature of the claim and route it to the correct processing system. A bill type is a code used in health care billing to categorize and differentiate the type of service provided, the facility where the service was rendered, and the billing frequency (e.g., initial, interim or final bill).
