Nacha ACH Return Codes

The National Automated Clearing House Association (Nacha) ACH Return Codes are codes provided to help identify ACH payments that could not be processed due to errors. 

These codes begin with an ‘R’ followed by a two-digit number.

They provide information to assist with determining the reasons issues with payment processing occurred and provide information to allow resolution of the error to allow payment processing to continue.

The Nacha ACH Return Codes link provides an informational message to accompany the return code when an invoice line item does not successfully process payments to Manufacturers or Sponsors.
